When most people think of laundry detergent, they think of big, bulky plastic jugs with liquid detergent or maybe gel pods. From a sustainability standpoint, these types of detergents have a few major problems. First, they most often come in a thick plastic container that gets dumped in a landfill. Second, especially with the pourable liquid containers or powders, it’s hard to tell how much you’re using. This causes many people to use WAY more detergent than is necessary, which not only creates more waste, but burns through your money.

These laundry detergent sheets are the perfect solution for the problems that come with other types of detergents. They’re mess-free, pre-portioned, and so easy to use. The clothes come out just as fresh and clean, if not better, and you’re not left with the soap residue like other detergents can leave behind.

You are able to use these laundry sheets with any type of washing machine, as they dissolve quickly and work through the load of clothes. These laundry sheets maintain the cleaning power of other detergents, come in a fresh natural scent or unscented, and are made from quality ingredients that are non-toxic, vegan, biodegradable, and never tested on animals.

Using the Laundry Sheets

These laundry sheets could not be easier to use. They’re far less messy than liquid or powder detergents can be.

Depending on the type of washing machine you’re using, you simply take a sheet and add it wherever the detergent goes. It can be directly into the drum for a front-load or top-load washer. Or, if your washing machine has a detergent dish, you can put the sheet in there as well. Feel free to fold up the sheet to fit it into a dish, as it will dissolve and be distributed as the cycle completes.

These detergent sheets come in a pack of 64. You can use a single sheet for most loads of laundry, but for larger loads, you can increase to 1.5 sheets or 2 full sheets.

Ingredients

Our laundry detergent sheets are made from naturally-derived materials that are fully vegan and biodegradable. These are cruelty-free and never tested on animals.

The scented version uses natural flax to give its fresh scent.

Let’s break down some of these ingredients so it’s easier to understand where these things actually come from.

• From coconuts: Betaine, Diethanolamide, Fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether, AES, Sodium C14-16 Olefin sulfonate
• From natural silica: Silicone oil, Silicon dioxide
• From fruits and plants: Flax Scent (flaxseed plant), Sodium citrate (citrus), Edible starch (cassava plant), Glycerol (vegetable fats)
• From the Earth: Bentonite (natural volcanic ash and sea water), Clay
• Alcohols & Other Biodegradable Ingredients: Sodium Dodecylbenzenesulphonate*, Sodium fatty acid methanesulfonate*, Sodium acetate trihydrate, Tridecyl Alcohol*, Polyvinyl Alcohol*

* Scored 1/10, the lowest (best) possible score, in EWG (Environmental Working Group) testing

Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) is synthetic polymer and technically a plastic, however it is water-soluble and biodegradable within 90 days.

Care & Disposal

Being that laundry sheets are water soluble, make sure to keep them in a dry place such as a cabinet or drawer in the laundry room. Getting them wet can cause them to start to dissolve or merge together.

There is very little disposal necessary, being that the product itself will be dissolved in use. With the natural ingredients used, there is no concern for harm to waterways or your clothing during washing.

The packaging is 100% recycled and recyclable Kraft paper that can be either composted or recycled.
